Spain - Costa Calida to Costa Blanca

Back on the motorway again, this was the typical scenery around Cartagena. It was very rocky and pitted with holes from the gold mining. Many of the impressive buildings we saw in Cartagena are linked to the economic progress this mining brought to the area since the 19th century.
